Week 3 Group 4 The Tiger rising AISD

At the end of the book, Rob finally frees the tiger from its cage. What might the importance/significance of this be in relation to the struggles he has experienced in in his own life throughout the book? When his dad sees the tiger free, he shoots it. How do you think Rob feels about this shooting and why? Provide evidence from the text to support your thoughts.

He will be open-minded because he opened his suitcase. He was nice from the beginning of the story because in the story, he saved Sistine from the mean kids but he opened his suitcase so he became nicer. It makes him a better person because he would be able to show his feelings to other people so everyone will care about him and he will think life is good which will give him a smile!

I think Rob will feel sad, angry and happy. Sad because he opened his suitcase and let the tiger free but the tiger ended up dead. Angry because his dad shot him and wasted what he did. Happy because his dad shot the tiger to save him.
