Week 2 Group 4 The Tiger Rising

In this part of the story, Rob is showing Sistine the tiger. Sistine wants to free the tiger but Rob thinks it is a bad idea. Rob has no idea what to do! How do you think Sistine and Rob will free the tiger if they do? What are positive  characteristics about Rob and what are negative characteristics about Rob?

I think that Rob and Sistine will free the tiger when Rob is supposed to be feeding the tiger and then run away with him and hide him somewhere in the woods. The positive things about Rob is that he cares for people and he will be willing to listen to somebody who has advice for him or when he is asked to do something. The bad stuff about Rob is that he likes to keep his feelings and what he wants to do inside himself thinking that will make him feel better but all it does is make him a closed person.

"During chapter 8, "There Has Been a Death", the Johansens pretended that there was a death. Two men helped carry the coffin, full of blankets, into the house. Do they know what's in the coffin? Are they part of the Resistance? How do you know if they are (or not) part of the Resistance?"

 

I think that they are part of the Resistance, because they are delivering the coffin and I think they would have looked inside as it is human nature that people are curious. And since they did not tell any one anything if they looked inside, I think they are part of the Resistance.

Week2- Group 3-My Side Of The Mountain-(ASB) What is your opinion about Bando and what is your reasoning? Why do you think that Sam trusted Bando?

My opinion about Bando is that he has never experienced survival skills. For example, he only bought 5 lbs. of sugar. Another example is that he brought some strawberry jam. This shows that he needs to take his personal survival skills test so that he knows how well he will do if he was stranded in the real world.

I think Sam trusted Bando because he brought enough food for at least a month. I also think that Sam made a wise choice of  trusting Bando because Bando was a teacher. He can learn and get educated while he was in the mountain.

Wk2-Grp1-Stone Fox-CISS-Why didn't Stone Fox speak to little Willy? Why is he called Stone Fox?

 I think Stone Fox does not speak to Little Willy because he is an indian, indians are not friends with americans because americans took over their land. Indians and americans are enemey. Little Willy is an american why I think because on P.G 53 it says "the treatment his people had received". I think Stone Fox's name is Stone Fox is because he is hard just like a stone and fox because he is tricky.

Wek 2 - Grp 1 - Stone fox - (CISS)

   Stone Fox does not speak to little willy because he was banned from the town to get any food or anything so he does not talk to any white people.

He is called Stone Fox because he might be the leader of the tribe or the co-leader. Or else his name that his tribe gave him is stone fox.

Rob and Sistine will free the tiger with the key! Sistine will force him to open the cage. I think Willie May will also be with them because on chapter 25, Rob and Sistine went to the woods to show Willie May the tiger and ask if they should free the tiger.

Negative things about Rob is that he is keeping his feelings inside his suitcase. the other thing is that he told Sistine what he wasn't supposed to.

Positive things about Rob is that he is nice. He saved Sistine from the mean kids. He uses kind words.

  I think that they are not part of the Resistance because they are just delivering the coffin. The person who gave them the coffin to deliver may be part of the Resistance because he may have packed the coffin. They know what's in the coffin because in a war, lots of people die, so they might think it is another dead relative. They aren't part of the Resistance because they are just delivery guys.

Week 2, Group 2, Every Living Thing, AISD

I think that the author made Gabriel show that he is lonely because he lived in a bad house. And they did not mention his parents. Until he found Spaghetti. I liked Spaghetti.

If Rob Sistine do free the tiger, I think they will either fool Beauchamp into opening the cage or using the keys Rob uses to feed the tiger, because I think Beauchamp is strong but not all that smart. In my opinion, Rob's negative characteristics are: Rob doesn't let his feelings out and he likes to stay alone. Rob's positive characteristics are: He has very good memory and helps people with it sometimes like how he put his hand on Sistine when she cried.

I think that Sistine and Rob will take the key to the cage or they will convince Beauchamp to free the tiger. The positive characteristics about Rob are that he is a helpful kid and listens to whatever he is told. The negative characteristics about Rob are that he doesn't share his feelings.

I think that Sistine and Rob will free the tiger with the keys that Beauchamp gave him to feed the tiger but I am a thinking that they free the tiger a different way I think that because Rods father might tell Beauchamp that he is not happy with the payment and that he is extremely disturb that they got raw meat and he might tell Beauchamp and Beauchamp will get agreeing and take the keys from Rob.
The bad things about Rob are he gets mad at him self for letting every thing spill out of himself. He should also take the advice people giving him. The good things about rob are well he uses the memorize with his mama to help him with Sistine like how he put is hand on her shoulder when she was crying.

WEEK 2 MY SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN AISD

      My opinion is that Bando is a nice and kind man. My reasoning is so far Bando was very nice to him. If he would want to hurt Sam, he would have hurt Sam before when no one was here.

      I think Sam trusted Bando because he was suspicious about Bando before but then Bando started proving himself by helping Sam and making the blueberry jam.               

Wk.2 - Group 1 - Stone fox ( ASB)

 In the book Stone fox the character Stone Fox  is not talking only to white men. I feel sorry for Stone Fox because of that his land was taken for the white men.

One connection I made was that I saw  a dog racing  in a movie.

 I also think Stone fox is called Stone fox because in the book it says that he is hard as stone and that that he has so many dog. I wonder how little Willy is going to win?

I think John Reynolds Gardiner wants us to think a lot of the main idea or wonder what happen next.I also think John Reynolds Gardiner wants us to wonder a lot.

Every Living Thing

I'm reading a book called every living thing. I like this book because it has lots of short stories. This story makes me think about why was Jenny the only person who went into the forest. I think the most exiting part of the story was when she found the boar. I wondered how every one in the village new there was a boar in the forest when no one had ever seen it.
