wk3-grp3-my side of the mountain-CISS

I think in chapter 3 Sam changed the most. One reason why I think this is because in chapter 3 Sam met a person like him named Bill. When he met him Bill taught him how to make a fire and let him sleep on his rocking chair. Later he is glad that Bill taught him how to make a fire because he turns out too have a few struggles in heat. This makes me realize that some things that people teach you are important.

I think Sam has changed the most in chapter 17 ( Trouble Begins). I think this because he was saying that he knew all the tricks in the wild and he also said "if you want to hunt a deer you can wait behind a hunter and when he kills the deer you take a short cut and you steal the deer."I also think this because Sam In chapter 17 Sam knows a lot of the animals in the wild like Frightful, he carries Frightful everywhere. And Sam also knows where everything he needs is in the wild.

Week 3 Group 3 My Side Of The Mountain AISD

Week 3 Group 3 My Side Of The Mountain Response AISD

In my opinion Sam changed in chapter 7 when he first found Frightful because he felt less lonely and Frightful could catch food for him but Sam would still have to work very hard to train him.

WK2-Grp3-My Side Of The Mountain- (CISS)

My opinion on Bando is I think he is bold, charming and dependable. I think this because when Bando came to the Caskill Mountains he was so friendly to Sam because he was trying to make sure he could make a friend while he was there and he was nice by starting a confersation with Sam. I think Sam trusted  Bando because he knew that he had struggled in the wild at first so he wanted to make sure that he was nice to Bando because in the book it says that Sam shared his bed with Bando.

WK2-Group 3-My Side Of The Mountain-(CISS) What is your opinion about Bando and what is your reasoning? Why do you think that Sam trusted Bando?

My opinion is that Bando is a nice and kind person, not a mean and bad person like a bandit. For example if Bando was a bad person, he would have already did something bad to Sam. The reason is that there was not anyone in the mountain, who could keep Sam safe. So it would have been okay even if Bando did something to Sam, because nobody knows about it. Also Bando treats Sam really nice and tries to help Sam do or finish making things. For example, his raft and the blueberry jam. Bando never tried to hurt Sam too. This shows why I think Bando is a nice and kind person.

I think Sam trusts Bando because he didn't treat Sam mean. He actually was a great helper to Sam. For example he helped Sam finish his raft. He even sailed with Sam to the deep fishing holes to fish, too. Furthermore, Bando helped Sam make his blueberry jam. In addition, Bando taught Sam how to make willow whistles with two fat twigs. Bando and Sam played music with the willow whistles, too. So basically I think Sam himself thought that Bando was really friendly and nice, by looking at what
he does and how he acts. This proves why I think Sam trusts Bando.

Wk2, Grp3, my side of the mountain

I think that Sam saw goodness in Bando. One reason why is because Sam was really nice to Frightful so I think thats why he showed kindness to Bando. Another reason why is because when Bando shows up he acts really friendly, like he says hello and starts a normal conversation. Then, once he saw that Sam new he was not an outcast, he asked him for help in a friendly tone. This makes me realize that some people are really nice no matter who they are.

WK1-Grp3-My Side of the Mountain-(CISS)

I think Sam moved to Caskill Mountains because he was annoyed at his family. One reason I think this is because when he moved to Caskill mountains he seemed angry.Another reason I think this because when Sam got out of the taxi Sam  was stubborn he wanted to prove that he could survive   in the wild.
If I were Sam and I was really annoyed with my family I wouldn't , move far far away and have to survive in the wild I would just move into a apartment so I could still be able to get food from the grocery store and so I don't have to hunt for my food.

WEEK 2 MY SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN AISD

My opinion is that Bando is a nice and kind man. My reasoning is so far Bando was very nice to him. If he would want to hurt Sam, he would have hurt Sam before when no one was here.

I think Sam trusted Bando because he was suspicious about Bando before but then Bando started proving himself by helping Sam and making the blueberry jam.

Week 2  Group 3  My Side of the Mountain  AISD
My opinion of Bando is that he is not a bad person. He's a nice and friendly man. Why would Bando try to hurt Sam anyway? If he wanted to do that, he would have tried already. I think Sam trusted Bando because he could tell that he was a kind, caring man. Sam wanted to help Bando because he was lost and on the way they became friends.

Week 2 Group 3 My Side of The Mountain AISD

My opinion about Bando is that he is nice, kind and he is trying to help Sam. I think that Sam trusted Bando because Bando was being really nice and he taught Sam how to do things like play a flute.

WK1-Grp3- My Side of the mountain-(CISS)

I think Sam ran away because, he was tired of living next to the sea and wants to adventure somewhere else. Another reason why Sam ran away is because he is also tired of living in a cramped apartment with his four sisters and four brothers that does not seem very comfortable. If I were him I would just run back home, I don't have the bravery to stay away from home for so long. This makes me realize that I am not as brave as I think.

WK1-Group 3-My Side Of The Mountain-(CISS) Why do you think he moved to Catskills mountains? What would you do if you were him?

I think Sam moved to Catskills mountains to find his Great-grandfather's farm. His dad always talked about Great-grandfather's farm so real, that Sam could see it (imaginary).  That made Sam be quiet to listen to his dad's stories, too. So I think Sam got really interested in it, which made him want to know more and find that Gribley's farm. And that's why he packed his things and started off on his adventure to the farm. This proves why I think  Sam moved to Catskills mountains.

If I was Sam, I would have stayed at my house. I would not even want to go out to the mountains. I would have just listened to Sam's dad and ask him lots of questions. I would do this because it really is dangerous to go out in the woods. Any furious creature can come out too. Also it will be totally fine to stay at home. The reason is that Sam's dad will know a lot of facts about the farm because he would have seen it when he was young. So I think I would be able to have the same amount of knowledge about the farm, even is I stayed at home.

Wk1 - Grp3 - My side of the mountain - (CISS)

I think Sam left to go to the forest because he wanted to go see his great-grandfathers farm and so he could explore the area. Also because his dad said every boy should try running away so he was supporting sam to leave, his dad also said he would be back in a few hours and sam wanted to prove his dad wrong. This shows how sam wanted to go see his grandfathers farm for a adventure and to prove his dad wrong. I think I would have done something like that out of temptation and anger.
