Dragon's Breath ASB

I am reading the same book as I did in my last blog. As you can see I have new wonderings and connections. The book is called Dragon's breath by E.D. Baker. So far Emma and Eadric are helping Grassina find her boyfriend Haywood how is a otter right now. Emma and Eadric are are looking for the ingredients for the potion to turn Haywood back to a human. They need to get : the hair of mother of Pearl , breath of the dragon green, a feather of an aged horse and the husk of a magic bean. Emma and Eadric already got the hair of mother of Pearl now they are trying to get magic beans at magic marketplace. They found out that the beans are out of season. I wonder how they are going to find the magic beans now? What do you think they are going to do?

I think that E.D. Baker is making you feel that you are in the book as if you are trying to find the magic beans. In chapter 15, page 163, says:

                                     A white haired old woman look up as we drew near.

What do you think E.D. Baker did to make the reader so interested?

One connection I made while reading this book is that I have, when I was younger, me and my best friend Kailyn would pretend that we are go through adventures. So many memories come back to me.

As I thought about this paragraph, I read a little more of the book. The white hair old woman said she had no magic bean and it was out of season , when she heard something she wanted, she really  had old shriveled up magic bean. Emma and Eadric have also got the feather of an age horse. Now the only thing they need is the green dragon’s breath.  I haven't read that part yet. I wonder how they are going to find a green dragon? Emma and Eadric  went to see the dragon king but he say that green dragon don’t exist. What do you think?

I also think that this book show bravery and courage because Emma and Eadric are try to find a way to help Grassina and face so many things like the time they almost got their heads cut off or a enormous spider that try to eat them. I wonder what will happen next? What do you think??

WK3-Grp1-Stone Fox-(CISS)-In the national Dogsled race, Stone fox helps Willy in the race. How do you think Stone Fox is going to feel about helping Willy?

I think Stone Fox is going to be proud of himself at the end of the story for helping little Willy and feel mad at himself in the part he swap little Willy when he thought back. A reason why is because that he let little Willy go and win the dog sled race and he must had thought of it for a bit, or he will not take that long to think, and that he think that it might be help for little Willy and he does not need the money. And I think that he will think that he will be a helpful person latter on.

grp1 Stone fox-(CISS)

I think that stone fox has a loving heart once searchlight dyed that made the hard stone part of his heart soften, and be kind because even thought he didn't want to lose but he really want little willy to win and get the money so he could save the farm, and wake up grandfather.

Wek 2 - Grp 1 - Stone fox - (CISS)

   Stone Fox does not speak to little willy because he was banned from the town to get any food or anything so he does not talk to any white people.

He is called Stone Fox because he might be the leader of the tribe or the co-leader. Or else his name that his tribe gave him is stone fox.

Wk.2 - Group 1 - Stone fox ( ASB)

 In the book Stone fox the character Stone Fox  is not talking only to white men. I feel sorry for Stone Fox because of that his land was taken for the white men.

One connection I made was that I saw  a dog racing  in a movie.

 I also think Stone fox is called Stone fox because in the book it says that he is hard as stone and that that he has so many dog. I wonder how little Willy is going to win?

I think John Reynolds Gardiner wants us to think a lot of the main idea or wonder what happen next.I also think John Reynolds Gardiner wants us to wonder a lot.

Stone Fox -chapters 1,2,3

Chapter 1 -Willy's grandfather was ill in bed at home in his room.Little Willy was thinking that he was a player or a dancer.Willy's grandfather was crying because he was almost dying on the bed.He was Willy's grandfather.

Chapter 2 -A ten year old boy can't run a farm.His grandfather grew potatoes,and that's exactly what Willy was going to do.I think that Willy was a great farmer when he was growing the potatoes.I wonder that what is going to happen to Willy's grandfather.
