Edward Tulane ( ASB)

I recently read a book called Edward Tulane by Kate Dicamillo. She also wrote Because of

Winn Dixie. Edward Tulane is a toy rabbit with real rabbit ears and real whisker (the whisker are made some other animal.) In this book, Edward went through pain full love and losing his owner. Can you imagine losing your mom, dad or brother and sister?

I think Kate Dicamillo tries to make us think we are in the book because she was using describing words. What do you think Kate Dicamillo is trying to do? In the book Edward Tulane

went through painful love  and lose his different owner as I said. At the end it turns out to go back to the same child as the first owner but,  the own  is grown up. It is an very emotional heart breaking story.

All of ways the owns lose Edward Tulane is said. For example, a small girl was sick and owned Edward Tulane but she died and then the brother Bruce, try to earn money by using string to make Edward Tulane dance. What would you do in this situation?

I think that this book is about how you love something that love you back. For example, family. How would you write the story if you had not read the book or  read my blog post?

Toad Heaven

I’m reading a new book called Toad Heaven. It’s the second book in the series and I’ve read the book before it called Toad Rage. It has the same characters as the first book does. Limpy is the main character. He is a cane toad. His friend, another toad, is called Goliath. Both are trying not to be squashed by humans in their cars.

Where I’ve read up to, Limpy (the main character) has came up with a plan. He has just dipped his dead, squashed uncle in sticky tree sap and handed him over to Goliath.

A.S.B, 4A, Kerala Crookedstar’s Promise

I recently read, Warriors: Crookedstar’s promise.

It is about a little kit named Stormkit, born in Riverclan. One day, Stormkit, and his brother Oakkit go out exploring. They meet Thunderclan’s medicine cat, Goosefeather. Collecting herbs at sunningrocks. They attempt to chase him out, but the plan backfires, and they end up with Goosefeather chasing them. As they were escaping across the stepping stones, Stormkit falls into the water. He smashes his face on the bottom of a stepping stone. He survives, but his jaw is horribly twisted and sunken. That’s how he earned his new name, Crookedkit.                                                                                                                                                       The only reason Crookedkit survived, is that he was saved by a cat named Mapleshade.

She decides to train Crookedkit. She said that he would one day, lead all the Clans. Thunderclan, Windclan, Shadowclan, and his own home, Riverclan. His destiny was set by the stars long long ago. Mapleshade had nothing to do with it. Now she is tampering with the prophecy. What could she gain from it all?

I think that the author did a great job creating suspense, and thrill. My favourite part in the book is when they have battles with Thunderclan over Sunningrocks. Erin Hunter usually writes her books on a point of view from a cat in Thunderclan. It was interesting reading a book on a different clan cat’s point of view. Do you have any predictions about the book?

The Westing Game

A couple of weeks back I started reading the book The Westing Game. This book is about how Sam Westing a millionaire dies. In his will he says that somebody killed him and his 16 heirs have to find out who it is.

The author Ellen Raskin creates a lot of mysteries for example we do not know who the murderer, thief and bomber.

Ellen Raskin gives a lot of imagery in her writing take for example this part “ Upstairs  in 3D Angela Wexler stood on a hassock as still and blank faced pretty as a store faced window dummy. Her pale blue eyes stared unblinkingly at the lake.” I could get a picture in my mind could you.

This is a mysterious story have you ever stolen something or lied about something important if so let me know?

Marshfield Dreams

I recently read a book called Marshfield Dreams. This book is basically the autobiography of Ralph Fletcher when he was a kid. In this book he had 7 siblings, including him. The order for biggest to smallest was Ralph, Jimmy, Lainie, Tommy, Bobby, Johnny and the last was Joey. He had very specialized siblings.

I think that Jimmy was a nature creature. For example, he was able to tell the difference between a beaver skull and a cat skull. Another example is that he is also able to tell the difference between a garden snake and a regular snake. So this means that he is a nature creature.

Tommy was a naughty boy. For example, he knocks everybody’s buildings and destroys all their toys. He can be the least sharpest knife in the drawer. For example, he found a discarded cigarette, broke it in half and then he gobbled it. He also ate dandelions, found some grass and ate it, he chewed sticks and even pried some used gum off the street and chewed it. Another example is that he said that he was hungry and Jimmy asked him, “Why did you not eat some regular food?” And Tommy gave the world’s most worst excuse. “I did not have any.”

Have you read Marshfield Dreams? It is a funny book and I would recommend this book to anyone seeking for the life of Ralph Fletcher when he was a kid.

This is a new book that I have read and I like it a lot. Although I have only read a few chapters of the book I already know that this is going to be great book.

This book is from Ralph Fletcher, and I really like the way that he writes, for example he tells the what feels like,he doesn’t just say about any other person he only says what he feels.

This is a life story book and this is the first one I have ever read, and I think this will give me a good idea about how to write life story, and I think that this will be a good example for a life story book.

Ralph Fletcher really describes what he says which makes it easier to create a picture in my of what is going on.

This doesn’t relate to much to my life and our lives don’t really connect, for example he was one out of 9 children and I am one out of 2 children.

This book is a true story about Ralph Fletcher and is a life story book.

Calvin and Hobbes

In the last two weeks I’ve been reading a new book called Calvin and Hobbes. It’s a comic book about a little boy called Calvin who pretends that his toy lion is alive. The book also has some funny parts in it like when Calvin read a book about palaeontologists, so he goes out into the garden and looks for dinosaur bones, but when he found some rubbish he thought they were dinosaur bones.

One of the good things about this book is that Calvin sometimes pretend to be an animal at the dinner table but his mum notices him and tells him not to be so rude at the dinner table. Where I’ve read up to he has went camping even though he doesn't like to. To get to the camp site they went in a canoe and when they got there his dad handed Calvin a bag but he dropped in the river so Calvin’s dad had to swim to the bottom of the river to get all the things.

Calvin and Hobbes Asb- Week 5 or 6

I was reading a book called Calvin and hobbes it is a fun book,you can also understand the words. It is a comic strip. Calvin does all sort of stuff like play with hobbes, Prank a girl called Susie and ECT  .

It is easy to get absorbed in the book because it is interesting, and also it has humor in the for example..look. I chose to blog about this book because it is a popular and as I said interesting too. You too feel like you are in there watching. This by an author called Bill Watterson.
