Week 3 Group 4 The Tiger Rising

At the end of the book, Rob finally frees the tiger from its cage. What might the importance/significance of this be in relation to the struggles he has experienced in in his own life throughout the book? When his dad sees the tiger free, he shoots it. How do you think Rob feels about this shooting and why? Provide evidence from the text to support your thoughts.

I think that it has importance becuase he finally does something that he is not sure about what to do or not to do it helps him have more emotions and be more of a regular person rather than a person who has too much going on in their mind that they try to shut it out. I think could finally express what he wanted to express and he could finally let out one of his biggest problems. In this part of the book he shows it : "I wish it had been you!" he screamed " I wish it had been you who died! I hate you! you ain't the one I need. I need her! I need her! I need her!"

In this part of the story, Rob is showing Sistine the tiger. Sistine wants to free the tiger but Rob thinks it is a bad idea. Rob has no idea what to do! How do you think Sistine and Rob will free the tiger if they do? What are positive  characteristics about Rob and what are negative characteristics about Rob?

I think that Rob and Sistine will free the tiger when Rob is supposed to be feeding the tiger and then run away with him and hide him somewhere in the woods. The positive things about Rob is that he cares for people and he will be willing to listen to somebody who has advice for him or when he is asked to do something. The bad stuff about Rob is that he likes to keep his feelings and what he wants to do inside himself thinking that will make him feel better but all it does is make him a closed person.

For question 1, Rob opens his "suitcase" and lets out his feelings. He opens his "suitcase" throughout the story when he was with Sistine. It makes him more sensitive and all so a better person because if you keep all your feelings inside of you I think that I couldn't stand  keeping my feelings inside of a "suitcase".  In the story Rob is telling Sistine the things that he keeps inside his “suitcase”. That is why I think Rob is opens his “suitcase” when he is with Sistine.

For question 2, I think that that Rob feels sad but happy that his dad was protecting him. When the tiger was shot Rob opened his dad's "suitcase".  His dad should have knew better than to kill a tiger but all so he protected Rob. I think when the tiger just died Rob felt like he wanted to yell because he was really mad but at the end I think Rob realized  that his father did not want Rob to get hurt. In the story Rob is hitting his dad, this show that Rob is really angry.

         The change that runs through Robs life is when we lets the tiger go he opened his own suitcase, so when  the Tiger was free all of Robs feelings were free. I know that by Robs started telling his dad everything he was feeling like he wanted his mama more then he needed his dad and he kept letting everything out.

            Rob was crying when his dad shot the tiger so he started was yelling at his dad that he does not mean as much as his mother. I think that he was just really mad at his dad for killing the tiger he loved. But I think if his mama had not died, I think the family with not be living in Florida and none of this would have happened.

How do you think Rob feels about this shooting and why?
I think rob feels sad because after thinking so much he frees the tiger and when he frees it,it dies.
What might the importance/significance of this be in relation to the struggles he has experienced in in his own life throughout the book? 
He will be more expressive and he will let his feelings out of the suitcase.It helps him be a little better because now he can talk to people and tell them how he feels.

If Rob Sistine do free the tiger, I think they will either fool Beauchamp into opening the cage or using the keys Rob uses to feed the tiger, because I think Beauchamp is strong but not all that smart. In my opinion, Rob's negative characteristics are: Rob doesn't let his feelings out and he likes to stay alone. Rob's positive characteristics are: He has very good memory and helps people with it sometimes like how he put his hand on Sistine when she cried.

In this part of the story, Rob is showing Sistine the tiger. Sistine wants to free the tiger but Rob thinks it is a bad idea. Rob has no idea what to do! I think that Sistine and Rob will take the key to the cage or they will convince Beauchamp to free the tiger. The positive characteristics about Rob are that he is a helpful kid and listens to whatever he is told. The negative characteristics about Rob are that he doesn't share his feelings.

In this part of the story, Rob is showing Sistine the tiger. Sistine wants to free the tiger but Rob thinks it is a bad idea. Rob has no idea what to do! I think that Sistine and Rob will free the tiger with the keys that Beauchamp gave him to feed the tiger but I am a thinking that they free the tiger a different way I think that because Rods father might tell Beauchamp that he is not happy with the payment and that he is extremely disturb that they got raw meat and he might tell Beauchamp and Beauchamp will get agreeing and take the keys from Rob.
The bad things about Rob are he gets mad at him self for letting every thing spill out of himself. He should also take the advice people giving him. The good things about rob are well he uses the memorize with his mama to help him with Sistine like how he put is hand on her shoulder when she was crying.

Week 1: Group 4 - The Tiger Rising Response

In this part of the book, a boy named Rob has moved to Florida from Kentucky.  During this part, we learn a bit about Rob's daily life and personality.  He sees a tiger outside of school.  Do you think he will free him?  How would you describe Rob as a person?

I think that he will show Sistine first and ask her if he should free the tiger and then free the tiger. Rob seems like a pretty okay person. But I think he doesn't like to go to school because of his bullies and the people who are mean to him. He is very happy since he gets to bunk school because of his leg issue that won't cure so he will never have to go to school. Rob is also the kind of person who does not share his thoughts with other people. He should be making strong choices.
