Wk1- Grp2- Every Living Thing- (CISS) What connections are happening between the stories?

I think how the stories connect is because all of the animals are all unique and special.

One reason is because all the stories have different feelings. For example, I think the second story is peaceful because the dog, Velma and the owner, Miss Cutcheon is retired and is living a very normal retirement. They all think about children and like children because Velma had three children and Miss Cutcheon used to be a fourth grade school teacher.

Another reason is some animals are very slow and some are fast. This is because a turtle named Charlie is very slow and the owner, Leo is also very slow, just in a different way. Leo was very slow in learning in school and he is always messing up. Leo brings the turtle to school one day for a presentation and he wins because he explains how slow some people can be and uses the turtle as an example.

This makes me realize that people are all unique and animals are too.

  1. I liked slower than the rest too. I liked how Leo rescued Charlie off the highway. I also liked how Leo used Charlie as an example of showing people that some people learn slower than the rest. I have now finish the howl book and out of all of them my favourite story was boar out there because when I was reading the story it felt like I was in a dream. Once you have read the book please tell me what your favourite story was.
