Week 2 Group 5 Number the Stars AISD
During chapter 8, "There Has Been a Death", the Johansens pretended that there was a death. Two men helped carry the coffin, full of blankets, into the house. Do they know what's in the coffin? Are they part of the Resistance? How do you know if they are (or not) part of the Resistance?
Yes I think they knew what was inside the coffin because if they delivered the coffin then they might have looked inside. Also, I do not think they are part of the Resistance because you don't have to be in the Resistance to be against the Nazis, if they were a Nazi or were against the Jewish people then wouldn't they report something?
I agree with you because the people who delivered the coffin might also have packed the things in it and they would know that it was fake.
