In the first part of the book Number the Stars three girls ( Annemarie, Ellen and Kirsty) were running down the street when german soldiers stopped them. A few day later Annemarie found out that the germans were tormenting the jews.The reason I think that the germans were tormenting the jews was because of the war between the two countries. So Annemarie and her family decided to take Ellen and make the Germans think that Ellen is part of her family so they do not hurt her then Ellen’s mom takes Annemarie, Ellen and Kirsty to her brother’s place. Nice job describing how Annemarie takes Ellen into her family. However, It is actually Annemarie's mom who takes them to Uncle Henrik's house.

ReplyDeleteNice job Ria! I really like how you referred to the text. I do not agree that it was a war between the two countries. I think that Denmark didn't want the Germans in their country but when Germany took over Denmark they couldn't help it.
