WK#1- Grp #5-Number the Stars-CISS
The reason that the Germans were in Denmark was because of World War 2.They were in Denmark because there was a lot of Danish Jews so the Germans were taking Danish Jews captive.At that time Denmark was also a very simple country but had many things that the Germans could gain with taking and conquering Denmark. The Norwegians had tried to stand up to the Germans but in result ended up having more problems then Denmark. The only place that didn't have problems was Sweden because they were a very neutral country and the Germans had noting to gain if they took over Sweden.That was known as the safe zone that Danish Jews could go and be safe there.Annemarie and Ellen ended up going to stay with Annemaries mother.There they could see when they were by the sea shore they saw land not so far away, that body of land was Sweden

good job i like how you summarised your story with some very specific information like how you mentioned that Sweden is a safe zone for Danish Jews and how you mentioned how the germans are trying to put Jews under captivity. and how did you get some of the other information like that Sweden is a neutral country and some other kinds of information they wren't in the book .
